📦 Batch Tracking - User Manual

Overview

The Batch Tracking system allows you to monitor and manage production batches through all manufacturing stages:

• Canning - Initial processing and canning stage
• Incubation - Temperature-controlled incubation period
• VAS (Value Added Services) - Additional processing and packaging
• Loading - Final loading and shipment preparation

Dashboard Statistics

The top of the page shows 8 real-time statistics:

• Total Batches - Total number of batches in system
• Status Breakdown - Scheduled, In Progress, Completed
• Stage Breakdown - Batches in each production stage

Viewing Batches

1. Use the Search box to find batches by number, order, or product
2. Use Stage Filter to filter by production stage
3. Use Status Filter to filter by batch status
4. Click 👁️ View to see full batch details

Updating Batch Status

1. Click ✏️ Update on any batch
2. Change the Status (Scheduled → In Progress → Completed)
3. Update Progress % (0-100%)
4. Record Actual Start Date and End Date
5. Add Notes about the batch
6. Click Save Changes

Recording Quality Checks

1. Click 👁️ View on a batch
2. Click ✅ Record Quality Check
3. Enter Inspector Name
4. Select Check Type (Incoming, In-Process, Final)
5. Enter Sample Size
6. Record Passed and Failed quantities
7. Add Defect Types if any failures
8. Enter Corrective Action taken
9. Click Record QC

Understanding Batch Details

When viewing a batch, you'll see:

• Stage Timeline - Visual progress through 4 stages
• Batch Information - Production order, sales order, product details
• Dates - Planned vs Actual start/end dates
• Parent Batch - If this batch is derived from another
• Child Batches - If this batch has been split
• Quality Checks - All QC records for this batch

Batch Statuses

• Scheduled - Batch is planned but not started
• In Progress - Batch is currently being processed
• Completed - Batch has finished this stage
• Delayed - Batch is behind schedule
• Cancelled - Batch has been cancelled

Tips & Best Practices

• Update batch progress regularly for accurate tracking
• Record quality checks at each critical stage
• Use the search function to quickly find specific batches
• Check the stage timeline to see overall batch progress
• Review quality check history before releasing batches
