📚 Getting Started with ProductionPlannerPro

Welcome! This guide will help you set up your account and create your first production order in just 10 minutes.

🚀 Quick Setup Overview

Setting up ProductionPlannerPro is incredibly simple. Here's what you'll do:

  1. Create your free trial account (2 minutes)
  2. Add customers (1 minute)
  3. Add products (2 minutes)
  4. Set up production lines (2 minutes)
  5. Create your first sales order (3 minutes)

Total time: ~10 minutes and you'll be ready to start scheduling!

1 Create Your Free Trial Account

Visit our pricing page and click "Start Free Trial"

  • No credit card required - Just your email and password
  • Full access - All features unlocked for 14 days
  • Instant activation - Start using immediately

2 Add Your First Customer

Navigate to Customers → Add Customer

  • Enter customer name and contact information
  • Add billing and shipping addresses
  • Save and continue
💡 Pro Tip: You can import multiple customers at once using our Excel template. Go to Customers → Import from Excel.

3 Add Your Products

Navigate to Products → Add Product

  • Enter product code and name
  • Set production time (how long it takes to make one unit)
  • Assign to a production line
  • Add description and pricing (optional)

4 Set Up Production Lines

Navigate to Configuration → Production Lines → Add Line

  • Give your production line a name (e.g., "Assembly Line 1")
  • Set working hours (e.g., 8 AM - 5 PM)
  • Define capacity (how many units per hour)
  • Configure labor costs (optional)

5 Add Materials (If Using BOMs)

If your products require materials, navigate to Materials → Add Material

  • Enter material code and name
  • Set current inventory quantity
  • Add supplier information
  • Set reorder points for low-stock alerts

6 Create Bills of Materials (Optional)

If your products are made from multiple materials, create a BOM:

  • Navigate to Products → Select Product → BOM tab
  • Click "Add Material"
  • Select material and enter quantity needed per unit
  • Repeat for all materials
  • System will auto-calculate total material costs

7 Create Your First Sales Order

Navigate to Sales Orders → Create Order

  • Select customer
  • Select product and enter quantity
  • Enter delivery date
  • Click "Save"

8 Use Auto-Scheduler

Now the magic happens! Click "Auto-Schedule" on your sales order:

  • AI analyzes your capacity, materials, and delivery date
  • Generates optimal production schedule
  • Shows you exactly when to start production
  • Highlights any material shortages
  • Suggests alternatives if delivery date is not feasible
