📧 Email Configuration

1. Select "PHP Mail (Built-in)" from Email Method dropdown
2. Enter From Email: reports@yourcompany.com
3. Enter From Name: Your Company Name
4. Click "🧪 Test Connection" button
5. Check your email inbox (and spam folder!)
6. If received ✅ → Click "💾 Save Settings"

Step 1: Get Gmail App Password

1. Go to: https://myaccount.google.com/security
2. Enable "2-Step Verification" (required!)
3. Go to: https://myaccount.google.com/apppasswords
4. Select app: Mail
5. Select device: Other (Custom name)
6. Type name: Production Planner Pro
7. Click Generate
8. COPY the 16-character password (e.g., abcd efgh ijkl mnop)

Step 2: Configure in System

❌ Test Email Not Received

• Check spam/junk folder
• Verify email address is correct (no typos)
• Wait 30-60 seconds
• Check Email Logs for error message

❌ Gmail "Authentication Failed"

• Most common issue: Using regular password instead of app password
• Solution: Generate Gmail App Password (see Step 1 above)
• Must use 16-digit app password, NOT your regular Gmail password
• 2-Step Verification must be enabled first

❌ Connection Failed

• Verify SMTP Host is correct (smtp.gmail.com or smtp.office365.com)
• Verify SMTP Port is 587
• Verify Encryption is TLS
• Check internet connection
