The Production Floor is your command center for executing and tracking production orders in real-time.
This interface allows operators and supervisors to start production, update progress, pause when needed,
and complete orders efficiently.
π Dashboard Statistics
π΅ Active Orders
Total count of production orders that are currently scheduled, in progress, or on hold.
This number updates in real-time as orders change status.

Completed Today
Number of production orders finished today. Resets at midnight.
Use this to track daily productivity and achievement against targets.
β±οΈ Hours Worked
Total hours logged across all active production orders today.
Updates when operators log progress. Helps track labor utilization.
β οΈ Delayed Orders
Orders that have passed their scheduled end date but are not yet completed.
These require immediate attention to minimize delivery delays.

π¬ Production Actions
βΆοΈ START Production
When to use: Begin work on a scheduled production order
Steps:
- Locate the order card with green "βΆοΈ START" button
- Click the START button
- Confirm the action in popup dialog
- Status changes to "IN PROGRESS" (yellow badge)
- Buttons change to "βΈοΈ PAUSE" and "π UPDATE"
- System records start time automatically
βΈοΈ PAUSE Production
When to use: Temporarily stop production (breaks, maintenance, material shortage)
Steps:
- Click the yellow "βΈοΈ PAUSE" button
- Enter reason for pausing (required)
- Examples: "Lunch break", "Machine maintenance", "Waiting for materials"
- Click OK to confirm
- Status changes to "ON HOLD" (red badge)
- Button changes to "βΆοΈ RESUME"
- Pause time and reason logged in notes
β οΈ Important: Always provide a clear reason when pausing. This helps track downtime and identify bottlenecks.
βΆοΈ RESUME Production
When to use: Continue work after a pause
Steps:
- Find paused order (ON HOLD status, red badge)
- Click green "βΆοΈ RESUME" button
- Confirm the action
- Status changes back to "IN PROGRESS"
- Buttons return to PAUSE/UPDATE
- Original start time is preserved
- Resume time logged in notes
π UPDATE Progress
When to use: Log completed quantities and hours worked
Steps:
- Click blue "π UPDATE" button on active order
- Modal window opens with update form
- Enter Quantity Produced (cumulative total, not incremental)
- Enter Hours Worked (cumulative total)
- Add optional notes about production
- Click "πΎ SAVE PROGRESS"
- Progress bar updates visually
- Quantity and hours display update
π‘ Best Practice: Update progress regularly (every 1-2 hours) for accurate tracking. Enter total quantities, not just what was done in the last period.

COMPLETE Production
When to use: Finish a production order when all units are manufactured
Steps:
- Ensure quantity produced equals quantity ordered (100% progress)
- Click "β
COMPLETE" button
- Confirm completion
- Order status changes to "COMPLETED"
- Completion time recorded automatically
- Order disappears from active list
- Statistics update (Completed Today +1)
β οΈ Note: If quantity is less than 100%, system will auto-complete remaining quantity when you click COMPLETE. Make sure to update actual quantity first.
π Common Workflows
Scenario 1: Start of Shift Production
- Check dashboard for assigned orders
- Click START on first scheduled order
- Begin manufacturing
- Update progress every 1-2 hours
- Complete order when finished
- Move to next order
Scenario 2: Lunch/Break Handling
- Click UPDATE before break
- Log current quantity and hours
- Click PAUSE
- Enter reason: "Lunch break" or "15-min break"
- After break, click RESUME
- Continue production
Scenario 3: Machine Breakdown
- Immediately click PAUSE
- Enter reason: "Machine breakdown - [specific issue]"
- Notify supervisor/maintenance
- Order stays ON HOLD until machine fixed
- Once repaired, click RESUME
- Continue production
Scenario 4: End of Shift Handover
- Click UPDATE on all active orders
- Log current quantities and hours
- Add notes about status/issues
- Click PAUSE with reason: "End of shift"
- Next shift operator clicks RESUME to continue

π§ Troubleshooting
No Orders Showing?
- Click the π REFRESH button
- Check that orders are scheduled in Planning Calendar
- Verify you're logged in correctly
- Page auto-refreshes every 30 seconds
Button Not Working?
- Check your internet connection
- Refresh the page (F5)
- Clear browser cache and try again
- Contact supervisor if problem persists
Can't Update Progress?
- Ensure quantity doesn't exceed ordered amount
- Check that both quantity and hours are filled
- Make sure order status is "IN PROGRESS"
- Try clicking UPDATE again
π Auto-Refresh Feature
The Production Floor automatically refreshes every 30 seconds to show the latest data.
This means you'll always see current information without manually refreshing the page.
What Updates Automatically:
- Statistics cards
- Order status changes
- Progress updates from other operators
- New orders added to schedule
